There’s More to Santa Than the Red Suit.
Being Santa is about much more than wearing a fancy suit. A memorable Santa visit comes from warmth, imagination, humor, and a genuine connection with the people in the room. Whether someone is five years old or ninety-five, my goal is to make them feel that, for a little while,
Santa Claus has really come to see them.
No Two Visits are the Same
No two Santa visits unfold the same way. A classroom full of excited children, a quiet family gathering, and a crowded holiday celebration — each has its own rhythm. I pay attention, listen, and adjust in the moment — drawing out the shy child, giving an energetic group room to laugh, and making sure everyone feels included.
Years onstage taught me how to think on my feet and keep an experience moving without forcing it into a script. The goal is never simply to perform at people, but to create the moment with them.
The Magic has a Method
A convincing Santa visit may look effortless, but the spontaneity rests on preparation. I learn what I can about the people, the occasion, and the setting before I arrive, so that once the visit begins I can stop thinking about the plan and be fully present.
Preparation gives me the freedom to respond to what is actually happening — and to let the magic feel as though it is happening for the first time.
The red suit may be traditional.
The work inside it is very much alive.
A Life on Stage
Santa Claus Rose grew out of a lifetime in performance. I have spent years as an actor, singer, and musician, working in everything from Shakespeare and musical theatre to live music, learning how a story lands, how silence can speak, and how much can be communicated before a word is spoken.
That life onstage comes with me into every Santa appearance. Voice, timing, physical presence, music, storytelling, and audience connection are not extras added to the character; they are part of how I make him believable.
